Dear colleaguesFROM THE BEHALF OF IVANO-FRANKIVSK NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY AND REGIONAL HEALTH CARE DEPARTMENT I HAVE AN HOUNOUR TO INVITE YOU ON 4-6 JULY 2019 IN YAREMCHE ON THE FOURTH PHLEBOLOGICAL CONFERENCE "CURRENT ISSUES IN PHLEBOLOGY: VENOUS THROMBOEMBOLISM AND ITS CONSEQUENCES»

Venous thromboembolism remains a global problem: despite the potential of modern medicine, every year in the world more than 10 million occurs thrombotic complications, which take 1600 people every day. Taking into account the importance of the problem, the "World Thrombosis Day" was founded - every year in October, numerous scientific and practical conferences are held throughout the world. It should also be noted that modern clinical guidelines for the prevention and treatment of venous thrombosis are not perfect, they undergo regular changes and additions according to the latest data of evidence-based medicine. Therefore, the conference on thrombosis of superficial/deep veins and their consequences - chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities is considered as an extremely important event. The exchange of experience of leading European and Ukrainian experts in the field of phlebology will help to improve the results on the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism. We also decided from this year to start workshops in small groups on the following issues: basics of ultrasound examination of the lower limb veins, rules of sclerosing therapy, aesthetic phlebology, methodology of laser and radiofrequency ablation.

We are waiting for you in the picturesque corner of the Ukrainian Carpathians!

Yours sincerely,
Professor Ivan Gudz
